  1. This tragedy is often forgotten, thank you for reminding us. Another even more forgotten genocide (and I don’t use that word lightly) is the massacre of the Circassians by the Russian Empire in the 19th century. There was up to 1 million dead. Most people have never heard of the Circassian because of how thorough the Russians were.
