Yesterday night before going to sleep, Bambi read in L’Orient Today that Mr. Naim Qassem said “”I declare, on behalf of Hezbollah, that we are ready for either of the two choices before us,” the group’s leader said during a speech on Sunday. “For peace, the building of a state and cooperation in favor of development and stability, as well as for confrontation and combat” (https://shorturl.at/4UFUn).
To begin with, Bambi is neither a political nor a military expert. Additionally, morally and psychologically speaking, it is hard for any militia to take a hard hit like Hezbollah did. Bambi gets it. However, can’t Mr. Qassem make up his mind in a clearer way? His fellow Lebanese citizens deserve clarity when it comes to the overdue need to disarm. So they can all live in safety, maintain what is left of their sanity, and give Lebanon a chance for both sovereignty and peace.
Bearing the above in mind, one of the titles of the Times of Israel that Bambi read this morning was the following: “Netanyahu: Israel wants ceasefire deal, but will still ‘finish the job in Gaza’” (https://shorturl.at/edV4v). From this statement, and the text of the article, she can guess, between the lines, that Mr. Netanyahu’s inner wish is to get rid of Hamas, but why the hypocrisy? And when will this destructive, absurd cycle of violence finally end?
All this being said, Bambi does not know with which words to end this post. She wishes the entire world, including the troubled Middle East (especially her birth country), peace. As for you dear readers, her wish for you is peace of mind. May your children (if any) and “children from all countries” “sow love and give life“, as per Mr. Enrico Macias’ eternal song.

Exactly! Thank you for the wonderful and lengthy post nailing the real problem in the Middle East, or as some like to say, the head of the snake. Free Iran from its autocratic medieval regime, free the region and the rest of the world from its dark tentacles. Let peace and prosperity reign.
You have the right to be confused because neither Hamas nor Hezbollah are the problem. The main problem is the terrorist regime that has taken the people of Iran hostage for more than 46 years now. That regime is feeding a cycle of corruption and terror, not only in Iran but also in the Middle East. The only way to have peace in the Middle East is to change the regime in Iran to a progressive one like before the so-called 1979 “revolution”. Most Iranian people support a leader, in a real national revolution that has been emerging over the years, named Reza Pahlavi. So want peace and stop the bloodshed? The approach is easy:
1) Fire all so-called Iranian diplomats from all countries till the Iranian regime allows protests without any involvement of terrorist forces belonged to that regime that have been killing, injuring raping and arresting the protesters over the last 10 years. This means closing all their embassies, like Canada did.
2) Release all political prisoners (defined by democratic norms, not the corrupt terrorist regime of Iran, judicial system).
3) The crimes of the terrorist regime in Iran have been on a scale of the Holocaust. So the next step is a fair trial of the leaders of that regime. My suggestion is to remove the death penalty if those leaders agree to give power to an in-transition government directed by Reza Pahlavi.
After this happens, the Middle East will turn into a peaceful place because the terrorist feeds will be gone. Paying any attention to Hezbollah and Hamas without that regime change in Iran will not change anything for a long time, and will not cause any long-lived peace, but it will be like having juices to treat the cancer instead of doing an aggressive treatment to kill all cancer cells. The source remains, then, and will attack much worse next time in a way that can have metastasis all over the world.
I used to live in Iran, and I have first-hand experience there.
Bambi thanks you from the bottom of her heart. She agrees. How tragic for the beautiful people of Iran who deserve better than their awful regime.
I couldn’t agree more.
