  1. A Jesuit .. General… Catholic .. a leader who is a military guy… what could possibly go wrong? Please forgive my cynicism after almost 60 years on the planet [Bambi].. its unfortunately going to be more of the same globally at this point as the power becomes more centralized and the Agenda comes into focus.

    1. Many thanks Sally from Bambi. For her too, someone from the military as a politician is not the ideal scenario, but for Lebanon, this is the best you can get under the circumstances let’s say. Also, she does not like the identity-based (religious-based) political system of this country. Yet, you start where you are or use what you have. The first speech of this President was very promising politically speaking, uniting yet courageous (putting Lebanon first). A much needed new vision for tiny and devastated yet hopeful and resilient Lebanon.
