Bambi does not want to go to bed without highlighting the 82nd anniversary of the Lebanese independence from France (French mandate).
First and foremost, much love to Lebanon sadly still struggling to be independent.
Second, true independence is looking within and committing to putting national interests before those of ALL foreign countries or external forces.
Third, despite its military defeat (at the hands of Israel, which it brought back to Lebanon by initiating the latest absurd war), Hezbollah seems to persevere in holding Lebanon hostage of its (Islamist) doctrine, allegiance to Iran, and endless mood for war.
Indeed, ironically in a statement on Lebanon’s Independence Day, and supposedly to “safeguard sovereignty“, Hezbollah is calling for the immediate implementation of measures, including the following: “Rejecting all forms of external subordination or diktats, as Lebanon’s independence can only be preserved by confronting any foreign project and shielding its sovereignty and decision-making from influences that do not serve the interests of Lebanon and its people” (https://tinyurl.com/ybpps754).
Very beautiful words, had they not been filled with double standard and hypocrisy. When will Hezbollah put Lebanon (along with its people) before Iran’s ideology and military interests in the region?
