How nice for me to see a beautiful picture of Amherst, NS. I lived in Sackville, but taught in Amherst, from 1976 to 1998, and I always loved the beauty of the surrounding countryside. I remember when I taught at the country school in Brookdale, and told the kids in my class how lucky they were to have all those fields to play in at recess. The nearby beaches at Amherst Shore and further on in Northport were favourite spots for our family. And I remember the light on the Tantramar Marsh as I drove between Amherst and Sackville in the late afternoon, how it deepened the greens. Yes, it’s beautiful countryside! Thank you, [Bambi], for posting this.
