Why are we turning the beautiful, democratic, Lebanon into Syria or Iran?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, a member of the so-called \u201cFree Patriotic\nParty<\/em>\u201d (what is free about it? And what is patriotic?) is calling for the\npriest who recited a prayer for the dead for Mr. Slim to apologize. Can you imagine?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is even trying to turn the story into an insult to Christian rituals. How stupid and low can you go in life, Bambi wonders\u2026 without having ever heard of the name of this Lebanese politician in her life before? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another Muslim (Shia) clergyman was paralyzed by fear to the point of apologizing for having participated in the beautiful, multifaith, funeral prayer of Mr. Lokman Slim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He claimed he did not know to which house he was\nheading to say a prayer for the dead and whose body he was praying over. He\nsaid he was surprised by the cameras (of journalists).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He repeated his loyalty (to Hezbollah), asking people\nto stop talking about the story. \u201cGod forgive those who are talking about me.\nI made a mistake<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isn\u2019t it sad to see a spiritual man apologizing for\npraying on the dead body of another human being (who happened to be from his\nown community on top of that)?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where is Lebanon heading? Are the masters of these people\ntrustworthy when it comes to nuclear deals, Mr. Biden et al.?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
