Bambi would like to begin this post by congratulating\nthe winners Biden-Harris. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is officially congratulating them, even if deep\ninside she remains skeptical about the voting process of this election (as an\nobserver from far). She is saying so, not because of Mr. Trump\u2019s legal battle\nor some American States\u2019 suits. It is rather because these elections have world-wide\nhigh stakes. As Bambi\u2019s spouse has always said: \u201cIn politics, things are\noften not what they seem to be<\/em>\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, could Mr. Trump be perhaps right about systemic\ncheating, even if he is a narcissistic President? Or is he a lunatic freak who\ndoes not know how to acknowledge loss?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyhow, with all due respect to all the lawyers of the\nworld (she is in love with one of them ?),\nshe does not trust them much, as politicians. She wonders sometimes whether other\nprofessionals may not be more trustworthy as public servants (the latter\nthought has even influenced her own vote in the past).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Related to the law profession, let\u2019s focus on Ms.\nHarris now (ie., a lawyer who is married to another attorney, by the way). Here\nis what is puzzling for Bambi about this politician: In 2019, she told American\ncitizens that \u201cshe believes the women<\/em>\u201d accusing Mr. Biden of rape\/sexual\nharassment. A few months following this statement, in 2020, she told them that\nshe \u201cbelieves in Joe<\/em>\u201d whilst endorsing his campaign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In which statement was Ms. Harris authentic? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first or in the second? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What has changed in Mr. Biden from 2019 to 2020?\nChances are he is still the same man (either innocent\/wrongly accused or\nguilty\/responsible of his acts). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chances are Ms. Harris too, the same woman who is\nplaying the game of politics. In Bambi\u2019s non-expert citizen opinion, she may be\nan arriviste\u2026 but all the media of the world are only putting the accent on her\nbeing a woman or a \u201ccoloured\u201d woman.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At one point, Ms. Harris endorsed the BLM<\/em>\nmovement and that too was far from being authentic or wise, at least in Bambi\u2019s\nown mind. Mind you, interestingly, the authenticity of this endorsement was\nlater questioned by one of the co-founders of this movement. BLM<\/em>\nsupporters reported feeling \u201cused\u201d by Biden-Harris, to use their own words. Bambi\nis citing and agrees with them, even if she is not fond of this group herself.\nPerhaps this is called \u201cpandering\u201d to groups of interests? Sadly, this is a\nCanadian speciality in politics. For instance, check how both Mr. Trudeau and\none of his ministers, along with Mr. O\u2019Toole, Chief of the Opposition, all made\na statement about the 84th<\/sup> birthday of Mr. Agha Khan. The question\nis not about the goodness of this man full of philanthropy and beautiful\nuniversal values, such as pluralism (he is an Imam for a world minority Shia\nMuslim group called, the Ismaili: https:\/\/pm.gc.ca\/en\/news\/statements\/2020\/12\/13\/statement-prime-minister-birthday-his-highness-aga-khan<\/a>).\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The question is why should we appear like losing all\nself-respect when it comes to people or countries with power (i.e., money)?\nCan\u2019 we be respectful of philanthropists and visionary leaders, without going\nout of our way in what looks more like pandering? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To come back to Ms. Harris, Bambi was curious lately.\nShe searched her Twitter account. She read that she describes herself as \u201cShe\/Her<\/em>\u201d.\nBambi could not help not to wonder: Is she being authentic in her description?\nIf so, good for her for being assertive. In other terms, does she believe all\nthis? Or is she rather a compulsive compliant with societal trends? Or, even\nworse, is she an arriviste who knows how to say the \u201cright\u201d (politically correct)\nthing, without conviction?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only time will tell Bambi if her intuition about this\npolitician is right or wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For now, she will say the following: Between Mr. Biden\nand Ms. Harris, Bambi trusts Mr. Biden more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between Mr. Trump and Mr. Biden, she does not trust\nanyone of them, even if she may have more sympathy for Mr. Biden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet, she thinks that Mr. Trump\u2019s elections would have\nbeen better news for her birth country, than a Biden-Harris team with the same establishment\nof earlier years. Why is she saying so? Well, in her mind, if Mr. Biden is a\ncontinuation of Mr. Obama\u2019s legacy, this is not promising for tiny Lebanon (Mr.\nObama said all the beautiful things in the world, but the actions were rather\nuseless). Sadly, Lebanon is under the total grip of Iran… to the point that\nit is increasingly isolated by Arab countries (ironically, many of the latter\nare now closer to Tel Aviv than to Beirut). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The question that matters the most to Bambi is the\nfollowing: Will Mr. Biden (and\/or Ms. Harris) offer Lebanon to Iran on a silver\nplatter? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or will it be Mr. Macron\/the Europeans who will be the\nones responsible for such a deal? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, all this would not be possible had MANY corrupt Lebanese politicians (along with some connected citizens) not been blindly cheering for or benefiting from the alliance with Iran?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
