The second is a surprise from Bambi to her mother-in-law!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bambisafkar.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Armenia-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7028\" width=\"238\" height=\"238\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bambisafkar.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Armenia-2.jpg 600w, https:\/\/bambisafkar.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Armenia-2-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/bambisafkar.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Armenia-2-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bambisafkar.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Armenia-2-512x512.jpg 512w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 238px) 85vw, 238px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Bambi just discovered this moving song whilst working, thanks to her internet <em>Mount Lebanon <\/em>radio from <em>Los Angeles<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Composed\/sang by Mr. Ghassan Rahbani, the song commemorates the Armenian genocide (yes that same ugly historic tragedy that Turkey still refuses to acknowledge). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The song, which is entitled \u201c<em>We Live Here<\/em>\u201d, states in both Arabic and Armenian the following: \u201c<em>We  will live here, we will die here; together we will build you up. We  love the homeland with our heart and soul\u2014we are the Armenians and we  are Lebanon<\/em>.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bravo to Mr. Rahbani for his linguistic skills (i.e., good pronunciation, it seems) in Armenian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>May peace and justice prevail in Armenia (+ Lebanon!) and throughout the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>May the final word be to LOVE. Yes, love to everyone, including those with whom we do not agree with and even to those who behave like enemies (past, current&#8230; or future ones). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>May past or current enemies become partners in humanity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is the first song that Bambi dedicates to all her friends whose heart is aching  for\/with Armenia&#8230; all of you (= us), perhaps especially to you Diana.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Armenian Lebanese Solidarity\" width=\"840\" height=\"630\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yKidEzYWg3w?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To conclude this post on a lighter note, Bambi will now dedicate the second song called &#8220;<em>Karoun Yerevan&#8221; (<\/em>or &#8220;<em>Spring in Yerevan<\/em>&#8220;) to her multi-talented mother-in-law :).<em> <\/em>Bravo Bernadette for having learned this Armenian song in your younger years. Bambi is impressed, especially that it was taught to you by Mr. Charles Aznavour&#8217;s own sister!! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P.S: If you are curious about the link between Armenia and Qu\u00e9bec-Canada? Well, Bernadette is a former professional ballet dancer!
