Families of the ten firefighters killed in the Beirut\nblast of August 4, 2020 organized a press conference to mark two months since\nthis tragedy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lawyer (or \u201cMa\u00eetre\u201d) Imad Martinos attended this press conference, representing the head of the Beirut Bar Association <\/em>(Mr. Melhem Khalaf). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are some of the pending questions and demands of the families, as reported by Naharnet<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bambi allowed herself to highlight some of the key demands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is anyone listening in the *mafia-militia club* governing Lebanon?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– To have an emergency parliament session to lift immunity off\nall ministers and politicians<\/strong> involved in this file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– To declare “August 4 a national mourning day”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– To question “all the” involved “ministers since 2014 to date and anyone linked to the \u201cHangar # 12\u201d file as of the date of unloading the cargo in it”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– To publish “all the reports<\/strong> submitted by international crews and foreign security agencies regarding the Beirut port blast”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– To declassify “the investigation and briefing the families of the victims on all the developments that have not been disclosed to the public opinion<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– To expand “the investigation to become an international investigation”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– To clarify “the reasons behind the disappearance of all previous reports related to the dangerous substances that were stored inside Hangar # 12\u201d and “behind silencing anyone who tried to tackle the file (resignations, sacking, death\u2026)”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– To unveil “the reason behind the total absence of the Beirut Port Fire Brigade, especially when the first fire erupted, around 40 minutes prior to the blast”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– To unveil “the identity of the judge<\/strong> who ordered the unloading of the cargo from the ship into \u201cHangar # 12\u201d and to clarify why he is yet to be identified and summoned to interrogation”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– To clarify reports that “said members of a political party had entered the port\u2019s premises in the first two days after the explosion and the reason behind their entry”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
