{"id":5568,"date":"2020-07-25T21:28:44","date_gmt":"2020-07-26T00:28:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bambisafkar.ca\/?p=5568"},"modified":"2020-07-25T21:41:37","modified_gmt":"2020-07-26T00:41:37","slug":"what-is-the-black-lives-matters-agenda-for-our-nb-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bambisafkar.ca\/index.php\/2020\/07\/25\/what-is-the-black-lives-matters-agenda-for-our-nb-schools\/","title":{"rendered":"What is the Black Lives Matter\u2019s agenda for our NB schools?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bambisafkar.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Agenda.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5569\" width=\"181\" height=\"162\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Not a long time ago, it was the global movement of\nclimate change that was all over our schools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, it is the global movement of <em>Black Lives Matter<\/em> <em>(BLM<\/em>) that wants that access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-link is-provider-global-news\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/news\/7217996\/black-lives-matter-saint-john-history\/\">Black Lives Matter Saint John pushes for Black history in N.B. schools<\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Why is <em>BLM<\/em> pushing to get into school curriculums? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first two words we read in an image on the <em>BLM-NB<\/em> Facebook page is \u201c<em>Dismantle hate<\/em>\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/provincial-legislative-building\/black-lives-matter\/196711598125966\/\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/provincial-legislative-building\/black-lives-matter\/196711598125966\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, NB is that full of hate? Bambi did not notice it\nyet after 12 years in this province?.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also read the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cIt is during this time that we must rise\nup with our fellow humans. Black people around the world are suffering due to\nsystemic racism, and being quiet is no longer an option.<br>\n<br>\nWe must stand with each other! We are all human, and we can not stand by as our\nparents, siblings, and children are brutally tortured and killed because of the\ncolour of their skin! It is either all of us, or none of us! Their voices must\nbe heard. <br>\n<br>\nPlease gather at the provincial legislature this Wednesday, June 3rd, in\nsolidarity.<br>\n<br>\nWe are working in collaboration with BLM Protest and #BlackLivesMatterMarch.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Who is funding this organization? What is its hidden\nagenda for our province?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We know the agenda for other cities across Canada:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blacklivesmatter.ca\/defund-the-police\/\">https:\/\/blacklivesmatter.ca\/defund-the-police\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Toronto:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blacklivesmatter.ca\/demands\/\">https:\/\/blacklivesmatter.ca\/demands\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Montreal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-facebook wp-block-embed\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.facebook.com\/blmmontreal\/\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For Vancouver:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-wordpress wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-black-lives-matter-vancouver\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"4UUBsbYiKr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blacklivesmattervancouver.com\/vancouver-dismantle-systems-of-violence\/\">Black Lives Matter Vancouver Calls on the City to Dismantle Systems of Violence and Oppression<\/a><\/blockquote><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Black Lives Matter Vancouver Calls on the City to Dismantle Systems of Violence and Oppression&#8221; &#8212; BLACK LIVES MATTER VANCOUVER\" src=\"https:\/\/blacklivesmattervancouver.com\/vancouver-dismantle-systems-of-violence\/embed\/#?secret=4UUBsbYiKr\" data-secret=\"4UUBsbYiKr\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mind you, one of the stated ultimate\ndemands in Vancouver is the following: \u201c<em>The City of Vancouver must commit to\nimproving social conditions across the city with a commitment to the goal of\neventually abolishing police and prisons, as they serve the primary purpose of\noppressing marginalized communities and protecting the riches of the wealthy\nminority of denizens<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Does the above make any sense, even if we all want a world\nfull of love, peace, and justice?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To conclude this post, it is Bambi\u2019s hope that the Government of New Brunswick will do its homework about the <em>BLM<\/em>\u2019s agenda for NB in depth. It is also Bambi\u2019s hope that they would ideally share what they will learn with us, the population before our schools (or unions of teachers in our schools) decide to endorse this movement, imposing it on our children\u2026 and thus, on our society. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Not a long time ago, it was the global movement of climate change that was all over our schools.
