\u201cBloc Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois Leader Yves-Fran\u00e7ois Blanchet \u201cunequivocally denies\u201d\nallegations that he sexually assaulted a woman in the late 1990s.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBlanchet released a statement early Wednesday, hours after the claims\nsurfaced in a Facebook post. The post alleges Blanchet brought a woman into the\nbathroom of a nightclub, offered her cocaine and groped and kissed her, despite\nher repeatedly asking him to stop.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his statement, Blanchet said the woman should file a police complaint\nif her allegations are serious and said he believes in justice for the \u201creal\nvictims\u201d of sexual assault.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The woman who wrote the post is remaining anonymous for fear of online\nharassment. She told the Montreal Gazette it\u2019s a memory that has haunted her\nfor years and that she \u201cput it in a box\u201d until recently\u2026<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who do not know yet, Qu\u00e9bec has been \u201chit\u201d by a second (or third?) wave of \u201cMe too\u201d allegations. Some famous artists have been dumped by their managers, following accusations made on social media platforms (e.g., the talented Kevin Parent whom Bambi enjoys listening to and many others, including a woman, etc.). We do not know what is true or not about these stories. We just know that those artists ended up apologizing in public and the so-called victims did not use the justice system channels in their allegations, just social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One cannot help not to wonder, why are they using social\nmedia without resorting to the justice system?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyhow, sadly, one story seems to strike us as true,\nand of course, TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. It is the story of Mary-Mai, a famous\nsinger in Canada and in the world. Her horrible story happened when she was 17\n(drug in a drink and assault). She seems to have \u201cforgiven\u201d, with the years,\nbut she felt the need to publicly share her story. Bambi\u2019s heart goes to her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To come back to Mr. Blanchet, he did so well by having\na thought for the \u201creal victims\u201d. Thank you for that. This is what upsets Bambi\nactually: When we use SUCH serious CRIMINAL allegations as a political (or\nprofessional) career weapon, by an anonymous accuser! We attempt (and\noften succeed) to publicly \u201ckill\u201d the receiver (i.e., reputation, credibility, lifetime\ncareer, etc.). Plus, one must say that the timing of all this is just so\nconvenient to those who would benefit, isn\u2019t it?  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What happened to the so-called \u201cinnocent until proven\nguilty\u201d? Now, it is guilty by default, especially if you are a man of a certain\ngroup. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
