The timing of the CBC<\/em> interview with Ms. Micha\u00eblle Jean is amazing, at the eve of the vote of confidence for our government and the vote of the UN for a seat for our country. Is this a coincidence?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And why is she being that political? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did Mr. Trudeau ask her to do so or did it really come\nfrom the bottom of her heart?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bambi has always liked and followed the incredible\nfairy tale of a career of Ms. Micha\u00eblle Jean with its highs and downs (i.e., saga\nof over expenses on an apartment in Paris).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2005, when she was appointed Governor General by Queen Elizabeth II, on the recommendation of Prime Minister Paul Martin, Bambi (and her family) literally jubilated!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, she finds the statement of Ms. Micha\u00eblle Jean\nabout systemic racism in Qu\u00e9bec (and Mr. Legault\u2019s denial of it), ungrateful,\ndisappointing, and contradictory, to say the least.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For her, only ten years ago, Canada was \u201ca country of\npossibilities\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, it is one of \u201csystemic racism\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Does that make any sense? Either she was rather blind\nbefore or perhaps too illuminated now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even her approach to anti-racism seems trendy and too\nlimited for such a smart and highly educated\/inspiring lady (she speaks several\nlanguages, including French, English, Haitian- Creole, Italian, and even\nPortuguese if Bambi is not mistaken).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is dividing her colleagues at Radio-Canada and fellow Qu\u00e9beckers (and by extension Canadians) into \u201cwhite\u201d and \u201cblack\u201d. She wants us to believe that they called themselves \u201cwhite\u201d and her \u201cblack\u201d in the late 1980s when she was first hired and we are supposed to believe her because she is saying so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It would have perhaps made more sense to say \u201cFrench-speaking\u201d\nversus \u201cEnglish-speaking\u201d. In our Qu\u00e9bec\/Canadian context and language. No, she\nprefers to use the language of the UN and the political elite instead. It may\nbe \u201csexier\u201d nowadays\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Ms. Micha\u00eblle Jean was the leader of the Francophonie,\nshe chose an economy-focused strategy for this international organization. Why\ndidn\u2019t she use her power then to combat \u201csystemic racism\u201d – or was it not a Liberal-UN\nhot topic then? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
