In each of us, there is a good and bad side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Same for our politicians. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talking about politicians, what Bambi appreciates in Mr. Maxime Bernier is his fairness, especially in the following tweet about Mr. Trudeau and the story of blackface in 2001 (https:\/\/www.journaldemontreal.com\/2019\/09\/18\/une-photographie-montre-justin-trudeau-deguise-en-arabe<\/a> OR https:\/\/montrealgazette.com\/news\/yearbook-photo-surfaces-of-trudeau-wearing-brownface-costume-in-2001\/wcm\/656614d0-8f4e-4840-b70f-68201b5df3a8<\/a>):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not going to accuse @<\/s>JustinTrudeau<\/a>\nof being a racist. But he\u2019s the master of identity politics and the Libs just\nspent months accusing everyone of being white supremacists. He definitely is\nthe biggest hypocrite in the country<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bernier summarized the tragic situation in our country\nso well, even in those limited words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bambi does not know if the blame for this would only be\non the Liberals though\u2026 Although she could be wrong, Bambi thinks that our whole\nsociety is guilty of this sort of collective stupidity described above by\nBernier.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is hard to govern when we desperately try to please\neveryone, instead of taking tough decisions or instead of knowing when to push back.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

imagine for one second the following scenario: Had Mr.\nBernier worn such costume (and coloured his skin like that), even at age 3 (not\n30) he would have been accused of being a Nazi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Same for Sheer or anyone else. Same for May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps this is old news for Bernier as some called him racist just for having policies on taboo topics such as immigration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bambi was born in the same part of the world as Aladdin.\nShe was not offended by Mr. Trudeau\u2019s old picture\u2026 Like Mr. Bernier, what\nbothers her the most in life is hypocrisy and the double-standards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plus, Trudeau\u2019s costume is not an accurate illustration\nof Aladdin, let\u2019s say. Who knows? Aladdin may have been blond with green or\nblue eyes (like Bambi\u2019s maternal side of the family). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyhow, poor Mr. Trudeau— the Genie (or Jinn) could\nnot come to help him today. He had to act with courage and fast. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He did well by apologizing to all those who have been offended\n(luckily, he is experienced in apologies). For this, Bambi thanks him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s move on now to more contemporary stories.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More importantly, let\u2019s take the time to think about Trudeau\u2019s\npromises (all his \u201csunny ways\u201d). Did he keep them? Did he deliver on them? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are the questions that Bambi prefers to focus on before voting, more than on a bad costume in 2001 (Vancouver) or in 2018 (India). <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
