By definition, a pandemic is \u201cglobal\u201d (a word likely\nso appealing to both Hadju and her boss ?),\nto which she added that it will require a global response. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, according to the National Institute of Health (NIH),\n\u201ca pandemic is an epidemic of disease, or other health condition, that\noccurs over a widespread area (multiple countries or continents) and usually\naffects a sizeable part of the population<\/em>\u201d (https:\/\/aidsinfo.nih.gov\/understanding-hiv-aids\/glossary\/545\/pandemic<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps later stages of a pandemic would likely require\neven more coordinated global efforts (i.e., when we get to a vaccine stage,\netc.). This being said, one must consult data of other countries and from the World\nHealth Organization (WHO) at all times, that is before, during early and\nthroughout a pandemic, as well as after it ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, one must know how to look at data with a critical\neye and a grain of salt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obviously, not one of Ms. Hajdu\u2019s strengths as she\nliterally said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere is no indication\nthat the data that came out of China in terms of the infection rate and their\ndeath rate was falsified in any way\u201d \u2013 Health Minister Hajdu<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Again, more ideology than science. Luckily there is\nDr. Tam in the Public Health Canada team ?.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now more seriously, Ms.\nHajdu recognized the following: \u201cCanada likely did not stockpile enough\nmasks, other protective equipment<\/em>\u201d(https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/politics\/canada-likely-did-not-stockpile-enough-masks-other-protective-equipment-health-minister-1.4877856<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plus, Canada sent medical\nequipment to China earlier on\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, whose fault is that?\nTrudeau, Hajdu, or a predecessor?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who should resign over\nthis public health negligence, after the pandemic is over? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who is putting his people\nfirst here, the PM of Canada or the President of the USA? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bambi is not particularly fond of Mr. Trump with his often silly or vulgar language\u2026 however, after waking up, he seems to be using his power to ensure a production of medical equipment for his own people. Should we blame him for that? He is thinking of America before any other nation, even his neighbours\u2026 oups, quite the opposite of what Mr. Trudeau did actually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we extrapolate from nations to individuals, in a survival mode, we think of ourselves (and our families) first before our neighbours. If we care too much for others, we may die. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bambi hopes Canadians\nwill remember this when they will be called to vote again in the future. In her\ncase, she does not need to remember anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because of Mr. Trudeau, she did not vote Liberal in the last election\u2026 as she has always done.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
